What is know as a fireman’s branch and what is it used for?

Apparently it is a slang term (or nickname) firemen use for a piece of their equipment. I’m pretty sure it isn’t a ‘tree’ branch, or their ‘branch’ where they work.
I am not exactly sure what you talking about the closest thing I can figure is a Branch Pipe nozzle.

How to volunteer to help fight fire in california?

I want to help out somewhat to fight the fire, or at least help evacuating people.
If you are a firefighter, see if your agency, state, or firefighter’s association are sending volunteers. Assignments for the type of work you describe go through local, state, federal channels….using the incident command system.
You could check this web page for [...]

How do you measure fire damage caused to a home?

I’m doing an experiment where different housing materials undergo a series of tests to prove which one is more durable. One of those tests involves burning them, but I first need to know how to measure fire damage. Does anyone know if there’s a scientific method one can use to measure the damage fire has [...]

What fire safety precautions must be taken with blown in attic insulation?

I’m going to be installing attic insulation. I haven’t decided on fiberglass or cellulose. I know I’m supposed to use something fire resistant like vermiculite around the chimney flue. Do I need to take the same steps around electrical junction boxes and lighting fixtures in the ceiling?
Use Roxul Insulation. It is a [...]
