Aromatherapy: the natural approach to clear skin

Posted by admin on January 31st, 2010 and filed under Uncategorized | No Comments »

As anyone who has dealt with it knows, acne can be a tough condition to get rid of. Persistent acne is usually a sign of some sort of internal imbalance beyond the norm, which is why it can be so difficult to get rid of. Treating the symptoms of the imbalance using conventional acne skin care products may offer temporary relief, but it will not treat the internal imbalance. In order to get rid of acne permanently, and heal the body itself from the inside out, less conventional methods of healing may be necessary. Two such methods are aromatherapy and homoeopathy, two of the oldest known methods of treating acne.

Aromatherapy has been considered an effective method for treating acne since ancient times. There are many different essential oils such as jojoba oil or lavender oil that can be used for aromatherapy, but one of the most effective is tea tree oil, available from all good natural health shops. Tea tree oil is known for its antiseptic and anti fungal properties, both of which make it an effective acne fighter. Furthermore, it also has antiviral and antibacterial properties, meaning that it is effective at killing the bacteria that cause acne. Tea tree oil’s effectiveness has been medically proven. In the 1990s, an Australian Medical Journal study showed that using a 5% concentration of benzoyl peroxide or a 5% concentration of tea tree oil on the face can diminish acne to the same extent, though the tea tree oil may take a little longer to work. However, tea tree oil has less negative side effects associated with it.

Other oils that can be used effectively include sandalwood, lavender, myrrh and ylang ylang, all of which posses acne-fighting properties. To utilise these properties, it is necessary to drop a few drops of your chosen oil into a steam bath or basin of hot water. You can then rest your face over the basin, letting it absorb the acne-fighting steam. Be careful not to scald yourself, however.

The homoeopathic way of thinking is becoming more popular, even in medical circles. This is because homoeopathy recognises that acne is a symptom of a deeper internal imbalance or problem that must be remedied using traditional homoeopathic remedies. Rather than treating the symptom, homoeopathy treats the cause by stimulating the body’s own ability to heal itself. The skin may experience an acne outbreak when homoeopathic treatment begins, but this is due to the body cleansing and detoxifying itself. After this, there should be noticeable improvement in the quality of the skin.

These natural methods, used in conjunction with a strong acne fighting medicine like Exposed acne treatment, may provide relief from acne. As always, it is recommended that you consult with a qualified medical practitioner before embarking on any new course of acne treatment.

Joliese Sunless Tan - How to tan safely

Posted by admin on January 31st, 2010 and filed under Uncategorized | No Comments »

Though, followed for hundreds of years, tanning in the sun comes with it’s own set of problems.

For a long time, people have associated a suntan with good health and vitality. The human body does need Vitamin D, but just in small quantities. Sunlignt helps the body in producing vitamin D, but you really don’t need to get a sun tan for that.

Jolies Sunless Tan is one of the good products I found that gives you a beautiful golden tan, instead of the usual orange look. Using it eliminates the need for baking in the sun for hours and exposing yourself to the risks of sun burn and cancer.

Demand for Paralegal Work

The United States’ experience is that law schools and state bar associations, through admissions and licensing, control the number of licensed attorneys and, as economic theory would predict, generally act to restrict that number in order to increase salaries[citation needed] over what a truly free market would produce (and, in the case of law schools, allow an increase in tuition by increasing the financial reward of obtaining a law education).

While the strenuous education and bar exams arguably increase the quality of attorneys at the same time as the cost of employing one, there remain many legal tasks for which a full legal education is unnecessary but some amount of legal training is helpful. This is equally true of most other jurisdictions, many of whom exercise an even tighter control over access to the legal profession.

As the cost of litigation has risen, insurance companies and other clients have increasingly refused to pay for a lawyer to perform these certain kinds of tasks, and this gap has been filled in many cases by paralegals. Paralegal time is typically billed at only a fraction of what a lawyer charges, and thus to the paralegal has fallen those substantive and procedural tasks which are too complex for legal secretaries (whose time is not billed) but for which lawyers can no longer bill. This in turn makes lawyers more efficient by allowing them to concentrate solely on the substantive legal issues of the case, while paralegals have become the “case managers.”.

The increased use of paralegals has slowed the rising cost of legal services and serves in some small measure (in combination with contingency fees and insurance) to keep the cost of legal services within the reach of the regular population.

Maternity T-Shirt Fun!

Posted by admin on January 30th, 2010 and filed under Uncategorized | No Comments »

I’m seeing more hilarious maternity tee shirts all the time! My favorite so far was this girl who must have been eight months pregnant wearing a tight fitting tee that said, “I think I might be pregnant” right over her tummy!

Maternity T Shirts run from the serious - to the sexy - to the side-splitting funny. And there are no shortages of places where you can find a stock design - or better yet, design your own.

One more idea. When you go to a baby shower, bring a customized tee shirt as a gift. Oh, and you can get one for the dad-to-be, too!

My new heart rate monitor

Posted by admin on January 27th, 2010 and filed under Uncategorized | No Comments »

So I am now getting ready for my next long run. We keep upping the miles each week and I seem to be able to hang with the rest of the pack. I’m feeling good about that.

I thought I might be able to improve even more if I bought myself a heart rate monitor. So, after some shopping around, I decided I wanted a polar. They have an excellent reputation and they have some pretty cool watches.

One of the guys in my running club has a Polar F6 heart rate monitor. Looked pretty cool and that’s then one I ended up buying. I love the look and it works perfect.
