Your Wedding Accounts & Staying In The Black

For those who are new to keeping an eye on their finances, your wedding is a great place to start developing your skills in mathematics!

Firstly, you need to start with the budget you have in mind. Enter this into your spreadsheet, accounting log book or whatever you are working with.

You then need to enter columns into your chart to cover areas such as wedding clothing, venue hire, cake, honeymoon, wedding favours, table accessories and so on.

Keep in mind that this first accounting session will not be accurate; it will be an estimate at this stage.

Then, set up a new document or draw up a new chart - this will be your actual figures.

Each time you spend money for your wedding - even if it is for a set of personalised napkins, you must write it down.

Good luck and keep an eye on that starting figure as it gradually goes down and down!

All you need to do now is keep it in the black!
