Managerial Requirements of an FSMS.

In order to set up an effective food safety management system a number of key managerial requirements are necessary. Management systems must integrate the activities of key functions. Senior management should communicate policy and standards and responsibilities with authority levels clearly defined. It should be clear to all personnel that each and everyone is responsible for food safety. Food safety management responsibility should not to be delegated to technical personnel. Having a comprehensive HACCP system and having carried out hazard analysis and assessment is fundamental to the food safety management system. All of the above should be supported by regular verification activities for your organization.
