I think if you have a microphone, you should connect it to your computer and "talk" your paper. Then play it back and type it. When you print it out, double space it, and use a 12 point courier font I think you'll find it's around two pages. If it's not, try to fill in more details. For example if you say: I like working outdoors, and that's all you said about that point, then you could break it down to more detail, and say some of the things you already enjoy doing outdoors, and some of the things you wish you could do outdoors. it's easy to turn 4 words into 40 this way.<br><b>References : </b><br> I think you may have a form of writer’s block.

As for volunteer departments most do not pay you at all. My department where i volunteer will only pay the volunteers if we go on strike teams. Meaning when we go out of county on the big fires. Do they go out with fully manned apparatus? In my area, if you can pass a basic medical you'll be accepted. Then it's up to you to get your ff certification so you can actually fight fire. When I volunteered we were given $5 per call and residents of the city were given a property tax break. It is a great way to make friends, get involved in your community and learn some cool stuff.
