I don't mean to be prejudice toward the genre, but both the sound and purpose are dead. Often (excluding the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus) their message can be degrading. There's really not that longstanding wall between rock and rap anymore when it comes to emo/screamo. A lot of them are good, but try and find music that represents a stronger purpose: Like art.
