Campus Fire Safety Awareness Day at RPI

The New York Office of Fire Prevention and Control and RPI sponsored a day of campus fire safety activities. This is a video of a mockup of a student room that was set on fire to demonstrate the speed with which a fire can spread.

    So the glass shatters.. big deal. A fire like this makes mess enough. And why put it out? Makes more sense to let the whole pile burn down completely.

    So the glass can shatter? The huge glass window would blow out and leave quite a nasty mess. How do you plan on putting it out with glass? Or keeping it clean enough to see inside after the fire starts? This was the correct way to do it. Safe, reliable, and still easily got the point across.
