CHICAGO FIRE DEPT-Arlington Heights

I was visiting the firestation when suddenly there was a call!!!!!I was so excited that I first forgot to turn the camera to the right sense!!What came out is anyway a great souvenir of that unforgettable day!!!!

The engine truck is similar to the one used in Italy for dimensions and tools, but Italian FF are not igned to ladder, engine or a means in particular. Ambulance is normally provided by hospitals. Probably the biggest differences stand in budget and kind of calls: calls in Italy are for car or truck accidents, fires happen seldom.
In the States the fire Dpt probably never has serious lack of founds. In Italy figures show that next year it won’t even have the money to buy the gasoline.BTW, a FF here gets 1200 euros per monts, 5 € per hour on duty… honestly quite ting

    it was a radio turned all the way on… quite disturbing for me, as it was more difficult to understand what I was being told ;) anyway at the moment of the call the music stopped and the female voice that you can hear came in

    When I was there I first didn’t understand what that rushing really was for, thus the paramedic(whose ambulance wasn’t called to answer) told me it was probably for someth like peaple stucked in an elevator… amazing to see that different fire depts have different ways to name a kind of call!

    there is no rope rescue heard. the call being dispatched at the end is for another station for an elevator rescue.
