How many days does a paramedic spend at the fire station?

I am not sure if I want to be a nurse or a paramedic, but I also want to spend a lot of time with my family. So what do you think is better?

It depends on the service. A service may do of the following 8,9,10,12, 16, 24,48,72 hour shifts. It is usually 40-72 hours a week. Again, it depends on the service.

I do two 24 hour shifts. Three days off one day on. My girlfriend is a RN. In my area they can’t work more than 16 hours in a day. If you want the most of family time a paramedic would be better given you work two 24’s.
