THEN & NOW: THE LAFD FIRE STATION 43 (PALMS) PART 1
The following is a look inside of old Fire Station 43 which served the area of Palms between 1942 and 2007. The LAFD station was located at 10234 National Boulevard and is one of 106 fire stations serving the city of Los Angeles. The station was replaced by a newer structure located at 3690 South Motor Avenue. This station, along with many others, were the subject of “Then & Now: The LAFD”. The project, produced by Westlake Signal Group visited many stations that were part of the “Prop F” Replacement project that replaced many of these classic old buildings. Then & Now: The LAFD won the Telly Award for Excellence in Documentary Film Production among many other honors and presentations.
