Wow, 2000 I thought …
Wow, 2000 I thought the city was amalgamated then?
TORONTO HAS THE …
TORONTO HAS THE BEST FIRE DEPT!
I was going to slam …
I was going to slam the Ambulance crew for not moving for you guys at the 3:02 mark.. But, then realized you guys are only using a single 100 watt siren speaker and coming out of the sun. A nasty combination while running hot! Nice video!!
UN TAN UN TAN UN …
UN TAN UN TAN UN TAN MOE MOE KYUN
Wow! I can’t …
Wow! I can’t believe how many idiots are on the road! These guys had to dodge like 20 cars!
Can’t believe the …
Can’t believe the idiot at 2:09 just continued though, didn’t even yield.
Very interesting …
Very interesting video, I must congratulate whom so ever was driving. Who taught him to drive I ask myself? Evel Knievel?
This is what I love …
This is what I love most about this job.. Driving down the street in this big rig and the traffic moving out of your way… Love the air horn I think more then the sirens. If I ever get in the officer seat, I swear I will drain the air brakes with the horn LOL.. keep up the great work.
Jeremy from Halifax Fire Department
There are no fire …
There are no fire signals at this Hall (Toronto Hall 134 near Yonge & Eglinton).
This Hall is setback from the street and is partially blocked by a building next door. On a bright sunny morning, it can be difficult for drivers to see us exiting the Hall.
No, we do not crash them out of the way. That was just me thinking out loud. There are times I wish we could LOL
I guess your right …
I guess your right it was not that close really still seemed out that the van would go through like that just after a Fire van pulled out with lights going and it would be pretty obvious this vehicle was coming out too do they not have a fire station signal?
Also do they actually crash them out of the way?
It wasn’t that …
It wasn’t that close. If you look closely, the minivan did pull over & stop immediately afterward. We passed it just before the stop sign.
I no longer work at this location, but I’m sure it still happens there everyday. There are vehicles who don’t stop for us as we exit the Station, and then continue to get in our way until our “well trained” drivers aggresively move them out of the way.
If they don’t move out of the way, we crash them out of the way LOL
correct me if I am …
correct me if I am wrong but did a suv or van like vehicle not just about crash into this vehicle?
to me the guy in the civilian car made a stupid move he must of seen the Fire van pull out seconds before you

Toronto HUSAR (Fire …
Toronto HUSAR (Fire Dept portion) was started by Al T., who, because of seniority & politics, was tossed from the team.
Anither excellent Firefighter (Geoff B.) was also instrumental in getting HUSAR & RIT up & running, and yet was not allowed on HUSAR due to seniority (another waste of experience & resources).
PM me and tell me your Dad’s name & where he works.
I’ll then PM you my name & workplace.
Neato, my dad’s …
Neato, my dad’s been on the trucks for a good 15 years, I think at the time this video was taken he was leading HUSAR.

I can’t post anymore because myself and others are easily identified.
I’ve been told that I will be suspended if Toronto Fire response videos are posted on YouTube.
This video does identify me if any TFD personnel who know me sees it.
I left this one posted to test the waters. So far, haven’t heard from anyone about it.
There are a couple of others from 2006 that I might upload.

I have no idea. You will have to ask the FD you are interested in applying with.
is it true that if …
is it true that if an applicant needs to wear contact lenses that they will not be considered for recruitment? please write back…
When you pressed …
When you pressed the toggle switch down, the electronic air horn would work.
Kind of pointless because the horns were over-riding the electronic siren and horn.
