When we recieve these letters i look at them as payment for the job. Its tough waiking up at three in the morning to drag a person to the hospital and then go to your normal day job at six. Police Officers are very rarely thanked for the things that they doe. Alot of peole disrespect the police and think that they are just out there to cause the law biding citizens grief and to harrass people. But the truth is that if someone was breaking into those peoples homes at 3 am who are they going to call? The Police, The Police take great risks all the time with their own lives and are never respected for there work they do. Police Officers hope that everyday at the end of their day they will go home and kiss their children goodnight. I think in you letter you should thank them for always being there in a momnets need and think them for keeping your town safe. Thank them for being Proactive in the community and educating the children. A Police Officers job is a one of a kind. I am happy that you are one of those people who knows how hard our job really is. As far as the Fireand Ambulance goes/ Their work goes hand in hand with the police they take some great risks with their lives daily. When people are running from a burning building your firefighters are running in. Kinda crazy huh? Well thats what they do they risk their lives to save yours. Just put something like that in your letter letting them know that you understand that and appreciate that they would do something like that for you and anyone.
