    hahahaha 500 for five minutes? try 1800 i sure hope your not a fireman you should know that if you are, i have personally been in a fire for over twenty that was around 700 at floor level, they didnt knock the flames back before entry, cant just run into a building surrounded by flames.

    This was actually at an open house demo for the public. The firefighter just joined as a volunteer and members thought it would be good for him to be on the line. The plan was for an experienced firefighter to go in a few feet with him while putting water on the fire. The “newbie” just went on in by his own accord while the rest prepaired to enter.

    I remember this vid from traing. The dept. was puting on a demonstration and tryed to show off.

  25. when a structure is …
    when a structure is fully involved like that. chances are its already destroyed. firefighter safety is the top priority in firefighting, then anyone trapped inside, then the structure.
    that kind of fire i would fight from the outside, then in if there is anything left.
    also, if you must go in to that kind of situatoin, go in with the fog pattern, dont just crawl in to the fire.
