   I’ve wondered that too… lol, but i think that they would still take care of it. Or maybe they left one of the trucks at the station for such an emergency.

   they leave the parade as fast as they can. Happened at a parade that i was in once.

   First of course they don’t normally in larger cities every use near all of the trucks or firemen.

   In smaller towns where they only have one or two trucks and maybe 10 or 14 firemen in the entire city, they would merley leave the parade ( of couse not many fires happen in those areas.

   I don’t know, but what happens if a parade breaks out and all the fire trucks and firemen are at a house fire? THAT’S what scares me!!!!!!!

   First, the aren’t "all" in the parade. You might have a couple of stations represented, but no more.

   Second, they are probably only using equipment or firefighters that are not needed (i.e. out of service, off duty, surplus equipment, etc.)

   Finally, they have dispatchers that could call them from the parade route and send them to the fire.

    That is why they are at the back of the parade, so they have a fast get away if needed!

    "all" the fire trucks are never at the parade. except maybe some very small towns or rural areas. if that is the case then they get called on the radio and leave the parade.
