What should i do if i want to be a fireman?

I am currently getting my fire science degree and will get cpr certified. I would like to know what looks good on a resume because i am aware that it is not easy becoming a fireman. My sister told me that i should volunteer or help in some way, so i can get a feel and so it shows my commitment but i don’t know where to start and i am not afraid to ask for some help. Any advice or answers will be greatly, greatly appreciated.

I would recommend going down to your local fire-house and talking with people there. Explain what you would like to do and ask how you can help out.

Go to your local fire department, and ask them what the process is for becoming a volunteer firefighter.

Or look up "volunteer firegighter"+"your home town" on Google. It’s not difficult.
