Do it Yourself Board Batten Shutters
Building own batten board shutter is easier than you think. Couple things you need are tape measure, wood glue, wood, nail gun and wood stain or paint. First you will need to measure your existing windows to know that are their width and height. Write it down and ho with this info to your local home depot. You will need to buy 3 vertical pieces and 2 horizontal pieces. Once you have it you can assemble the boards. Join them together with a waterproof woo glue. Once it’s done attach the battens. You can do it using a glue and a nail gun. Also apply some nails every few inches.
