Western Propane Gass ociation training Mendocino County (CA) firefighters on how to handle a burning propane tank. Do not attempt to stop a propane fire with a hose or extinguisher- call 911 immediately and tell the dispatcher if the tank is venting (blowing flame in the air or away from the tank).
